Bone densitometry
This is a quick, simple, and noninvasive technique to measure bone mineral density. Losing minerals, mainly calcium, in a bone, causes fragility in its structure which increases fracture risk. This is known as osteoporosis.
Bone densitometry is done through dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry ( DXA ). This is the most accurate technique to measure mineral bone density and estimate fracture risk.
